WHAT “SINGLE DONOR” & “VIRGIN” MEAN AT HAUS OF MUSE:

In an industry full of vague marketing where "virgin" or "raw" hair can mean multiple different things depending on the person you ask, we offer full transparency in regards to our collection process.

We intentionally select bundles through trusted hair collectors from Eastern Europe & regions of Brazil. Our suppliers are strictly in the business of cutting & compensating donors fairly, with visual proof of each cut. This is why they remain our chosen source as their values, quality & consistent proof have never let us down.

Additionally, each MUSE bundle is collected from one single donor, with no industrial/chemical processing or any secondary/kanekalon mixes to increase the final weight.
When single donor hair is collected & purchased, once each individual cut is sold, you will never find that same hair again unless that same donor regrows & donates it in the future.

This is why you see many other suppliers or brands marketing their hair as "single donor" or 'virgin", because it is the highest level of exclusivity you can possibly receive. It's authentic human hair, in its most pure, natural form.


No two bundles are the same. 
Similar, perhaps.. Identical, never.

 


The hair is:
  • Uncoloured
  • Non-chemically processed
  • Not mixed with other donors, kanekalon or processed factory hair
  • In its natural, unaltered state

 

We do not:
  • Offer a standardised factory colour chart as all hair is uncoloured, a colour chart for true virgin hair simply does not exist
  • Sell standardised 100g bundles, as this is often an indicator of mixed donor hair
  • Custom colour hair or mix shades, the process is too complex to provide 100% accuracy
  • Break bundles into smaller gram amounts or mix bundles, single donor stays as single donor, all bundles stay as their own bundles

 

All hair is:
  • Ethically sourced from specialised collectors in Russia, Poland, Ukraine & Brazil
  • Shampooed, air-dried, and packaged prior to shipping
  • Stored in low humidity and maintained with conditioning and oiling
  • Free from contamination, lice, eggs, or insects

 

Additional Information:
  • Virgin hair requires no special extension only products. Treat it as you would your own natural hair. Use protein if you wish, lighten the natural shade if you require it.
  • Bundles may contain natural shade variation or lighter ends due to sun exposure. This is normal and expected with true virgin hair.
  • Each bundle is priced individually based on donor age, quality, length, grams, texture, and exclusivity.
  • Some bundles (particularly Slavic) may contain a higher percentage of shorter hairs due to the donor’s natural growth cycle. These are often removed prior to any weft or ktip production to ensure the ends of the hair are as full as possible. This means you may lose some grams, however, it does not affect the overall appearance, instead, it actually enhances it. 
  • If you wish to have the shorter growth removed, please leave a note upon checkout.

BRAZILIAN HAIR — BY HAUS OF MUSE

 

Our Brazilian hair is sourced from single donors in the southern regions of Brazil and features a fine-to-medium European-type texture.

This hair naturally carries warmer undertones with a higher percentage of slightly stubborn red pigment. When lightening, it may:
  • Lift warmer
  • Require double processing
  • Produce golden or copper undertones depending on technique and products used

Due to the cutting and collection method, Brazilian hair contains minimal short hair within the bundles and is approximately 60–80% double drawn by nature.

Brazilian hair is ideal for:
  • Brunette transformations
  • Rich, dimensional colour work
  • Clients who prefer warmer results
  • Longevity and density without ultra-fine texture

As with all HAUS OF MUSE hair, Brazilian bundles are sold as is, unaltered, and unstandardised.

 

Sales are final due to hygiene reasons. Please ensure you are confident in your investment prior to purchase.
